Nice Drive and good price
(by. KJ)
I am a Hard Drive Freak (see my other reviews) and I found this one to be a great little unit. I purchased it at Costco for $89 and it came with the case and some other goodies that the wholesale always off. I like the small size, BIG 1 TB size, and the fact that it already has the 3.0 technology built in. Seagate has similar but you have to buy the chassie for 3.0 which add's another $30 bucks if you need it. In addition, most PCs dont even use 3.0 yet and it will be a while before it is a comman feature on the laptops. But hey for the price its a nice add on.
The pre-loaded software is nice and simple to use. Its pocket size is also a great feature, and as we all know WD is a great company and I have used their internal drives for 25 years which is why I had to try this one out.
Plug it in and go. Wdbacx0010bbk is quick, keeps track of what new files have been added and replaces old files, keeping the old ones "just in case" Not a bad feature.
IMHO this is a good unit for the price. There are so many brands out their and I have about 7 different ones and I rate this one as good. Especially as Wdbacx0010bbk already comes with the 3.0 ready to go but is backwords compatible. check to market and find pretty cheap cause price rise on Xmas.
