Speed is the Most Important Factor when Buying a Remote Control Car
At some point in your childhood you will remember your first experience playing with radio control models. Girl's sorry if your reading this and thinking no I don't. I remember going with my dad to the nearby park and driving this old electric remote control car for hours. I remember enjoying driving it far too fast for what it could handle and of course breaking it! That day sparked my passion for RC cars and I have never looked back since.
For me it has always been about speed! For people who are just starting I would recommend to go electric they have good top speeds and are very easy to maintain. Electric Cars are cheaper and also much easier to maintain and allow you to build your confidence before you tackle trickier models.
For outright speed RC nitro cars is the only this to go for! Nitro radio cars do need more knowledge and maintenance but do go a lot quicker than electric. Nitro Cars have fully engines similar to your fuel car so parts such as air cleaners, glo-plugs etc are going to need maintaining. Nitro cars do work much more like your car at home than electric cars which does have its benefits. There engines take time to spool up and the clutch to engage and they sound like normal cars! The cars do not take long to be refuelled, in fact only seconds and after that short refuel they last ages. I know some people will be put off by the added time you need to put in and if that is you then I would definitely recommend going for an electric RC. Although if you do feel you can put in the time to maintain these cars I don’t think you will regret it, the speed and the amount of fun to be had driving them is second to none!
What to look for in a remote control car?
I want to get a remote control car truck or buggy I looked around the ebay and some rc sites but I really do no know what to look for, I want to spend 40-90$. I would like something that can be driven off road a bit. Something that does not take forever to charge and wont run out of charge real quick. Also that is somewhat fast but I would rather have a longer battery life over speed. Or even gas powered. Any suggestions sites links?
Your budget will get you nothing descent/or repairable. save your money and get a good traxxas or similar . the cheap ones in the price range one trip off road can damage it , and if you can't get parts you have a worthless pile of junk
Pain Rays, Indefinite Detention & the Arms Race against U.S. Citizens (Green Options)
Last month the Rachel Maddow Show highlighted the increasing military
weaponization of our local police forces, including the introduction of scary
Orwellian devices like excruciating sound cannons and this mobile pain ray,
pictured above. Dr. Maddow explained some salient details about this
particular brutal weapon: "This giant satellite looking thing it shoots
electromagnetic radiation at a target, also known as a human. It is intended
to cause a lot of pain; the top layer of skin is supposed to absorb the
radioactive rays and get very hot. In tests people could endure the ray for
about three seconds; nobody lasted more than five seconds."
